I put in the video card details on the AMD website and was prompted to download and install: 13-4_mobility_win7_win8_64_dd_ccc_whql I can confirm that it is something to do with this, as when I remove the drivers and uninstall it, the issue stops (and same, in safe mode there is no restarting as it doesn't load the driver) When I install this version, the display adapter in the Device manager appears to be ok, however this is when the system starts to restart unexpectedly, usually about 2-3 minutes after I log in to windows.

This installs the driver version 8.951.9.0 and the display adapter shows as "AMD Radeon HD 7570m" in the device manager. I have downloaded and installed the video driver package from Dell IIRC correctly, I didn't have power issues with modded HD Graphics from that French Driver Station website and Catalyst 13.12 WHQL SG fix provided by LeeKM.System: Inspiron 5423 (brand new machine) The only workaround to hibernate is disable Radeon dGPU in Device Manager, but then suspension is disabled. But when it's powered on, it doesn't return to desktop (it should return almost imediactly to desktop and load the RAM content from hard disk), but then it boots up again, exactly as when waking up from suspension.Īlso tried HD Graphics provided by Dell but no luck. I have these issues:ġ-when I put laptop into suspension mode, when I try to wake it up, it doesn't return instantly instead it boots again: the spash logo shows up and then I'm asked to logon on my user account once more, as if it was powered on for first time Ģ-when laptop hibernates, it does shuts down. (Please re-downloading and try.)ĮDIT: Better utilization performance in DirectX 9 (for GCN)Īnyone else with power state issues? I uninstalled previous Catalyst version with DDU in safe mode, then installed latest official Intel HD Graphics drivers and this Catalyst package.
